Job summary

Penta Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in delivering Kubernetes-native software using Go. You will design and implement CRDs, reconciliation loops, and automation workflows to support provisioning, scaling, upgrades, recovery, and operational processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with Kubernetes, Go, and cloud-native tools, including Kubebuilder, Operator SDK, and client-go, across multiple platforms and environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Experience with Go or ability to work in Go.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native stack.

Responsibilities

• Develop Kubernetes-native software using Go, including controllers and automation tooling.
• Design CRDs, reconciliation loops, and platform automation workflows.
• Build software for provisioning, scaling, upgrades, recovery, and operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop Kubernetes-native software using Go, including custom controllers, operators, and automation tooling.
• Design and implement Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), reconciliation loops, and platform automation workflows.
• Build and maintain software that automates provisioning, scaling, upgrades, recovery, and operational processes.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Hands-on software development experience with Go (Golang) or strong experience in another language with the ability to work in Go.
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Kubebuilder, Operator SDK, controller-runtime, or client-go.
• Experience building Kubernetes Operators, admission webhooks, or custom platform automation tools.
• Exposure to EKS, AKS, GKE, Rancher, Spectro Cloud, or similar Kubernetes platforms.
