Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design and implement features within a .NET microservices architecture. You will build and evolve RESTful APIs using ASP.NET, with a focus on reliability, security, and backward compatibility where required.

Qualifications

• Production-grade .NET/ASP.NET experience in microservices ecosystems.
• Experience building Web APIs using ASP.NET with RESTful design principles.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and data modelling concepts.
• Experience writing unit tests (xUnit/NUnit) and familiarity with integration testing approaches.
• Solid Git fundamentals and PR-based workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD environments and automated build/deploy pipelines.
• Exposure to Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Understanding of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect authentication/authorization.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience delivering production systems as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• Solid experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET 6+ or equivalent).
• Experience building Web APIs using ASP.NET and applying RESTful design principles.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and core data modelling concepts.
• Experience writing unit tests (xUnit, NUnit or similar) and familiarity with integration testing approaches.
