Job summary

Autism A Chara is seeking a Social Care Worker for our Residential service in Ireland. The role is 39 hours per week under a specific purpose contract, with a focus on supporting autistic individuals to live independently and engage with their communities.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, personal care where needed, and implementing tailored care plans. CORU registration or progress is required, along with relevant qualifications and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proof of CORU registration or application in progress.
• Availability to work shifts including evenings and weekends and night duties.
• Full, clean Irish driver's licence (manual) desirable with ability to drive service vehicles.
• Permission to work in Ireland.

Essential criteria for the position of Social Care Worker:

• A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential
• Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker
  • OR proof of application in progress with CORU.
• At least six month's recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
• Full, clean Irish drivers licence (manual) desirable with requirement to drive service vehicles
• Permission to work in Ireland essential
