Job summary

Access Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Social Care Worker to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in Wicklow and surrounding areas. The role involves travel between multiple locations and requires a valid driver’s license.

We offer competitive pay rates (€25–€32 per hour) with enhanced rates for nights, Sundays and bank holidays, and flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle. Registration and uniform are provided along with dedicated consultancy support.

Qualifications

• CORU registration as a Social Care Worker
• Previous experience in ID or social care services
• Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care is essential
• MAPA or equivalent training mandatory
• Valid driver’s license for travel between locations
• Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility for various shifts and locations
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in Intellectual Disability services across Wicklow and surrounding areas
• Travel between multiple locations as required by the role
• Promote person-centred care and effective communication with service users and teams
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality support
