Job summary

Avista invites applications for a Social Care Worker at St Louise’s Centre Residential Houses, Dublin 20, and at St. Louise’s Centre Community Residential Houses, Dublin 07 & 15.

This permanent full-time role offers €41,260–€57,789 (LSI) with pro-rata for hours and subject to relevant experience. The ideal candidate will hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care (or equivalent), be CORU registered or eligible, and demonstrate excellent communication, fluent English, a full clean Irish driving licence,

Permanent Full-Time (39 Hours), Permanent Part-Time (19.5) and Relief Social Care Worker Opportunities Available

Salary: €41,260 – 57,789* (LSI)

• Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Essential:

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or an equivalent qualification recognised by CORU for registration as a Social Care Worker.

• Current CORU registration or evidence of eligibility and active registration application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Full clean Irish driving licence & willingness to drive service vehicles.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting individuals who may present with behaviours of concern
• Knowledge of person-centred planning and active support approaches.
• Experience supporting individuals to develop independent living skills.
• Understanding of HIQA standards and safeguarding practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
