Job summary

Avista is inviting applications for a Social Care Worker – Day Services across Dublin 7, Dublin 11 and Dublin 15. This 35 hours per week, permanent part-time role requires a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent and CORU registration eligibility.

The successful candidate will work in a person-centred, community-based setting, supporting adults and children with intellectual disabilities and behaviours of concern.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent; CORU eligibility.
• CORU registration or confirmation of application submitted.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience working with intellectual disability and behaviours of concern.
• Adopt a holistic, person-centred approach to support people to live their best lives.
• Awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to develop skills in identified areas of interest and learning.
• Full clean manual driving licence and ability to drive service vehicle.
• Possession of Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista framework.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU Social Care registration.
