Daffodil Care Services is seeking a Social Care Worker for our residential services in Annestown, Co. Waterford. You will provide high quality social care and create a safe, caring environment for vulnerable young people, supporting day-to-day activities within the residential setting.

We welcome graduates and experienced professionals. The role offers an attractive salary of €40,067-€43,394 per year, inclusive sleeping time and premiums, with an incremental salary scale and a combination

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality social care and a safe, caring environment for vulnerable young people.
• Deliver individualised day-to-day activities within the residential service.

Education

Minimum Level 7 qualification (degree) or above

Degree in Psychology or related field

Professional Practice Qualification in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy

Professional Practice Qualification in Counselling / Psychotherapy

Professional Practice Qualification in Addiction Counselling

Social Science / Social Studies

Teaching (Not TEFL)

Professional Qualification in Nursing Studies

Disability Studies

Applied Behavioural Analysis

BA in Applied Policing or equivalent

Holder of Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service) or equivalent

Social Care Worker

Daffodil Care Services are currently recruiting Social Care professionals for Social Care Worker & Relief Social Care Worker positions in their mainstream residential care services in Annestown, Co. Waterford.

We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced professionals in social care and related fields.

Working as part of this team and collaboration with the Centre Manager and Social Care Leaders,you will be responsible for providing high quality social care and a safe, caring and stabilising environment to vulnerable young people. You will play a key role in the delivery of individualised day-to-day activities in the residential service. This rewarding role will suit energetic, creative and versatile social care professionals with a passion for working with young people.

About the role

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following:

• Psychology

• Professional Practice Qualification in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy

• Professional Practice Qualification in Counselling / Psychotherapy

• Professional Practice Qualification in Addiction Counselling

• Youth and Community or similar

• Social Science / Social Studies

A full Irish Drivers license is a mandatory requirement for this position.
