Job summary

ST. Aidan's Services is seeking a Social Care Leader (SCL Grade) to join a residential service in Ireland. You will provide day-to-day leadership, support staff teams, and ensure rights-based, person-centred services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The role involves developing high-quality practice, safeguarding, and continuous service improvement in collaboration with families and external professionals. CORU registration and a valid driving licence are important.

Qualifications

• Hold a CORU-approved Degree in Social Care (NFQ Level 8) or an equivalent qualification recognised by CORU (validated by QQI where applicable)
• Be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker, or be in the process of obtaining CORU registration
• Must have a minimum of six months experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• A qualification in Leadership, Supervision or Management is desirable.
• Must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicles.
• Hold valid work authorisation for Ireland.
• Be proficient in both oral and written English language.

Social Care Leader (SCL Grade)

We are seeking applications from energetic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team within one of our residential services. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of a new residential service, supporting individuals to live meaningful and self-directed lives while contributing to a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment.

This is a full-time position. Contracts are with the service.

Role Function

The Social Care Leader reports to the Person In Charge (PIC) and supports the delivery of high-quality, person-centred and rights-based services for individuals supported by the service.

The role provides day-to-day leadership and support to staff teams, promotes professional practice, and supports the PIC in ensuring quality, compliance, safeguarding and positive outcomes for individuals. Working in partnership with individuals, families, colleagues and external professionals, the Social Care Leader contributes to the effective operation, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance of the service.
