Job summary

St. Aidan's Services is seeking a Social Care Leader (SCL Grade) to drive high-quality, person-centred and rights-based supports in a residential setting.

The role reports to the Person In Charge and focuses on leading daily operations, safeguarding, and continuous improvement while supporting individuals to live meaningful, self-directed lives. Qualifications

• CORU-approved Degree in Social Care (NFQ Level 8).
• CORU registration as Social Care Worker or in process of obtaining registration.
• Minimum of six months experience with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Leadership/Management qualification desirable.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Valid work authorisation for Ireland.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to staff teams.
• Promote professional practice and ensure quality, safeguarding and positive outcomes.
• Work in partnership with individuals, families, colleagues and external professionals.

Social Care Leader (SCL Grade)

We are seeking applications from energetic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team within one of our residential services. Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that promote the rights, dignity, wellbeing and independence of the individuals we support.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of a new residential service, supporting individuals to live meaningful and self-directed lives while contributing to a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment.

This is a full-time position. Contracts are with the service.

Role Function

The Social Care Leader reports to the Person In Charge (PIC) and supports the delivery of high-quality, person-centred and rights-based services for individuals supported by the service.

The role provides day-to-day leadership and support to staff teams, promotes professional practice, and supports the PIC in ensuring quality, compliance, safeguarding and positive outcomes for individuals. Working in partnership with individuals, families, colleagues and external professionals, the Social Care Leader contributes to the effective operation, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance of the service.

Qualifications & Experience

Hold a CORU-approved Degree in Social Care (NFQ Level 8) or an equivalent qualification recognised by CORU (validated by QQI where applicable)

Be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker, or be in the process of obtaining CORU registration

Must have a minimum of six months experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.

A qualification in Leadership, Supervision or Management is desirable.

Must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicles.

Hold valid work authorisation for Ireland.

Be proficient in both oral and written English language.

Skills & Attributes
