We are currently recruiting Social Care Assistants on behalf of a leading national organisation supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism across residential and day services. These roles are based in Kilkenny.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities in residential and day service settings
• Promote person-centred approaches in line with best practice and regulatory standards
• Assist with daily living activities and support plans
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care or relevant qualification (e.g. BA in Social Care Studies, Community Care, Health or Social Care equivalent)
• At least 1 year’s experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
• Understanding of current policy and developments within disability services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Full clean driver’s licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
