E-Frontiers in Ireland is seeking a Senior IT and Security Administrator to implement and maintain the company’s IT and security architecture. You will manage IT assets, and facilitate secure staff transitions in a full-time, hands-on role.
You will design and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN), lead security tooling deployment (EDR, SIEM), perform risk assessments, and oversee onboarding/offboarding and access control.
Job Title: Senior IT and Security AdministratorDepartment: IT / EngineeringRole OverviewThis is a full-time hands-on technical role focused on the implementation and maintenance of the organization's IT and security architecture. You will act as a primary technical resource responsible for administrating and executing the company IT and Security strategy, managing IT assets, and facilitating secure staff transitions.Key Responsibilities1. Implementation & Maintenance of IT ArchitectureDesign, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN services, to support business operations. Configure, install, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls. Monitor, maintain and upgrade company servers and systems in hardware, virtual and cloud based environments. Installation and Administration of Linux-based systems and software/services2. Operational Security & MonitoringLead the technical deployment and management of security tools, including Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), antivirus/anti-malware solutions, and SIEM platforms. Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks and implement technical solutions that optimize efficiency and reliability. Perform regular risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate technical risks. Implement and manage security access control and identity management systems to ensure least-privilege access is maintained throughout the employee lifecycle.3. Asset Management & Staff OperationsMaintain accurate tracking and inventory documentation for all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring the registry is up-to-date and compliant with security policies. Manage the technical onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, ensuring timely and secure provisioning of hardware and access rights, as well as the secure de-provisioning and retrieval of assets for departing employees.4. Incident Response & SupportParticipate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents as part of the wider incident response plan. Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and handle escalated troubleshooting requests. Ensuring ongoing archiving of relevant logs and artefacts for future investigate. Support of other departments as required, e.g. deployment of off-site pop-up networks for the marketing department during demos and eventsQualifications & SkillsExperience: 5-8 years of IT experience with a strong focus on network implementation and technical security. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering ,Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. Technical Proficiency:
