Job summary

Speedy Hire, the UK & Ireland’s leading hire provider, is looking for a Small Tools Fitter at our Dublin depot. You will perform basic electrical and functionality testing, and service and clean products returned from hire to keep them safe and presentable for the next customer.

This role supports the depot team in delivering high service standards, with a clear path for learning through Speedy’s in-house training courses and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v) required.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication required.
• Experience in hire industry desirable.
• Awareness of ESG initiatives (Decade to Deliver) helps.

Job Title - Small Tools Fitter

Location - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.

What You’ll Need

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use tools effectively
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
