Job summary

Vp Rail is seeking a Hire/Sales controller to join our branch and provide full support in internal sales, delivering first class customer service, handling hire transactions pro-actively and assisting with stock takes.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, identify sales opportunities to increase revenue, support the resolution of complaints, ensure administrative processes are followed, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer facing role in equipment hire or similar operation
• Able to manage demanding customers and their requirements
• Well organised with a strong work ethic
• Capable of making operational decisions to ensure targets are met
• Good level of computer literacy
• Valid driving licence

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers ensuring queries/orders and deliveries are handled efficiently
• Proactively identify sales opportunities to increase revenue
• Support management of customer complaints with a positive resolution
• Ensure that all relevant administrative processes are correctly followed

Job Introduction

We're looking for a Hire/Sales controller to join our branch and provide full support in all areas of internal sales. This will include delivering first class customer service, working pro-actively when handling hire transactions and assisting in stock takes.

Key Responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact for the majority of customers ensuring all aspects of queries/orders and deliveries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner
• Responsible for pro-actively increasing revenues by recognising and identifying sales opportunities
• Support with the management of any customer complaints, seeking positive resolution
• Ensuring that all relevant administrative processes are correctly followed
• Protection of the Company assets in line with company standards
• Ensuring that Health & Safety requirements/initiatives are proactively managed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a customer facing role in an equipment hire business or similar operation
• Used to managing a range of demanding customers and their requirements
• Well organised and an excellent work ethic
• Capable and willing to make operational decisions to ensure the branch makes its targets
• A good level of Computer literacy
• A valid driving licence
