Job summary

P+D | Creating Visual Impact since 1970 in Dublin looks for an experienced Small Format Printer & Finisher to join our production team. This hands-on role covers both digital print and finishing, taking a job from print to finished product while maintaining quality in a busy environment.

Our Small Format department operates two Fuji Revoria digital presses, guillotining, digital die-cutting and other finishing equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating production digital presses.
• Good knowledge of digital print production and print quality.
• Strong guillotine and finishing experience.
• Experience with digital cutting/die-cutting equipment would be an advantage.
• Understanding of paper, board and other small format print materials.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and production requirements.
• Good mechanical and technical awareness with troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to organise and prioritise multiple jobs.
• Confident to work independently and take ownership of workload.
• Practical, flexible approach and willingness to help wherever required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fujifilm Revoria digital production presses.
• Set up and produce digital print jobs accurately and efficiently.
• Check artwork, job specifications, quantities, stocks and finishing requirements before production.
• Monitor print quality throughout production and identify issues before they result in reprints or waste.
• Carry out routine press checks, maintenance and calibration as required.
• Operate guillotines safely and accurately.
• Operate digital die-cutting and other small format finishing equipment.
• Complete trimming, cutting, creasing, folding and other finishing processes as required.
• Take responsibility for jobs from print through to finished product.
• Prioritise workload to ensure jobs are completed in line with the production schedule.
• Identify production issues early and communicate them before they impact deadlines.
• Minimise waste, reprints and unnecessary machine downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and job information.
• Keep the Small Format production area organised and maintained to a high standard.
• Work closely with production, prepress and other departments to keep work moving through the business.
• Provide cover and support within the department when required.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Small Format Printer & Finisher to join our production team.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced all-rounder who is comfortable working across both digital print and finishing. The successful candidate should be capable of taking a job through production from print to finished product, maintaining quality while working efficiently in a busy production environment.

Our Small Format department operates two Fuji Revoria digital presses, along with guillotining, digital die-cutting and other small format finishing equipment.

We are looking for someone who understands print, has strong finishing experience and can work independently without needing constant supervision.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in someone with strong practical experience in a commercial digital print environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with digital cutting/die-cutting equipment would be an advantage.
• A good understanding of paper, board and other small format print materials.
• The ability to read and understand job specifications and production requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• The ability to organise and prioritise multiple jobs.
• The confidence to work independently and take ownership of the workload.
• A practical, flexible approach and willingness to help wherever required.

Experience specifically with Fujifilm Revoria presses would be an advantage but is not essential where the candidate has strong experience operating comparable production digital presses.

The Person

We're looking for an all-rounder rather than someone who only knows one part of the process.

You should be equally comfortable standing at a digital press producing work as you are moving onto the guillotine or finishing equipment to get the job completed.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone experienced, dependable and quality-focused who takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of getting jobs right, finished and out on time.
