Job summary

STEPHEN O'ROURKE & SONS CONTRACTORS LIMITED is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join its construction team in Ireland. The role involves building and repairing walls, partitions, and other structures using bricks, blocks and stone, while measuring, setting out work areas and interpreting drawings to ensure quality.

The successful candidate will prepare and apply mortar, cut and lay bricks, check levels and alignment, perform pointing and finishing work, and comply with health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience as a bricklayer with knowledge of bricklaying methods and materials.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair walls, partitions and structures using bricks, blocks and stone.
• Measure, set out, cut and lay bricks and blocks; mix and apply mortar.
• Check levels and alignment; perform pointing and finishing work.
• Follow site instructions and comply with health and safety requirements.
