JOB PURPOSE: Skilled General Operative We are seeking skilled general operativesto join our team and to work within various departments of our company. All candidates will have a background in construction and general site work and will have a keen interest in learning new skills.

Fencing works (Maintenance / Repairs)

General carpentry repairs

A positive attitude, good communication, a willingness to work well with people.

This role will suit those who have been working as a general operative for a period and wish to advance to learning new skills. The role will be performed in site environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with flexibility within the Maintenance Department and in co-operation with other Departments.
• Promote maintenance best practices at all times within a continuous improvement environment.
• Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance within the site. .
• Execution of work orders as scheduled.
• Completion of non-trade specific work as required.
• Daily reporting of maintenance activities ensuring issues and open items / concerns are communicated in a timely and concise manner.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental training programmes and initiatives. Adhere to safe working practices as set out by the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.
• Maintaining compliance with site procedures and policies.
• Participate fully in any cross-functional training initiatives and mentor operations personnel at all times.

Desired skills and qualifications (although training will be provided if required)

Skilled in general building construction and/or groundworks

Working At height is Essential and full training will be given.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to take lead on maintenance issues and to work independently or as a team member.

Be flexible in respect of shift changes and to participate in the maintenance procedure as required.

Responds positively to changing circumstances and priorities.

Must have a valid up to date safe pass

Proven track record in your current role is essential.

The role is varied where skills related to building construction / ground works required. Candidates who can show an aptitude and ability in both disciplines will have a distinct advantage.
