Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Setting-Out Engineer to join our civil infrastructure team in Kerry. Based on site, you will carry out setting-out using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment to support major projects.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Geomatics and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in setting-out or land surveying, with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Geomatics is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in setting-out engineering or land surveying.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for civil works using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment.
• Complete topographical, as-built and control surveys to support project delivery.
• Verify levels, coordinates and dimensions for accuracy per project specs.
• Process and manage survey data, producing records and reports.
• Liaise with engineering and site teams to coordinate surveying activities.
• Promote HSEQ compliance on site.

Site Surveyor Based in Kerry €35,000-€50,000

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Setting-Out Engineer to join our team on civil infrastructure projects based in Kerry. This role is ideally suited to a land surveying professional with strong setting-out experience who is passionate about precision, quality, and supporting the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for civil engineering works using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment.


• Complete topographical, as-built and control surveys to support project delivery.


• Verify levels, dimensions, and coordinates to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.


• Process and manage survey data, producing accurate records and reports.


• Liaise with the engineering and site management teams to coordinate surveying activities.


• Promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) compliance.

Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Setting-Out Engineer, Land Surveyor or similar role.


• Strong experience using GPS, Total Stations etc.


• Experience delivering surveying services on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.


• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
