Job summary

Jons Civil Engineering Co Ltd in Kerry is seeking an experienced Setting-Out Engineer/Site Surveyor to join our civil infrastructure team. You will carry out setting-out for civil works using GPS and Total Station, supporting project delivery with precise survey data.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Geomatics, at least 3 years' setting-out experience, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Setting-Out Engineer, Land Surveyor or similar role.
• Strong experience using GPS, Total Stations etc.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for civil engineering works using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment.
• Complete topographical, as-built and control surveys to support project delivery.
• Verify levels, dimensions, and coordinates to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Process and manage survey data, producing accurate records and reports.
• Liaise with the engineering and site management teams to coordinate surveying activities.
• Promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) compliance.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Setting-Out Engineer/Site Surveyor to join our team, supporting the successful delivery of a new civil infrastructure project based in Kerry. This role is ideally suited to a land surveying professional or Engineer with strong setting-out experience who is passionate about precision, quality, and supporting the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects.
