Job summary

GREENMARK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor WSH on a Dublin project site. You will conduct inspections, audits, hazard identifications and drive corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures.

The role requires coordination with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, plus delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety training. Immediate availability is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• Must possess a valid Manage Work at Height certificate.
• Must possess a valid Risk Management (BizSAFE Level 2) certificate.
• Additional relevant WSH / safety-related certifications will be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in civil infrastructure, or construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Able to coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, consultants, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Immediate availability / short-notice candidates will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements at the project site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations and safety audits.
• Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and monitoring RA, SWP and Method Statements.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with WSH regulations, company procedures and project safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and safety inductions.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper safety control measures are implemented.
• Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements for applicable activities.
• Follow up on safety observations, non-conformities and corrective/preventive actions.
• Assist in incident, accident and near-miss investigations and prepare safety reports.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, safety meetings, training, incidents and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, workers and subcontractors on WSH matters.
• Participate in emergency preparedness, drills and safety campaigns.
• Attend WSH meetings and assist in implementing the project's Safety Management System.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, access control, barricading and safe worksite conditions.
• Liaise with relevant parties during WSH inspections, audits and regulatory visits.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage workers to follow safe working practices.
• Perform any other WSH-related duties assigned by management.
