Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Operational Excellence Site Lead to drive strategy, governance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. You will lead the OpEx team, embed best practices, and build site capability to deliver measurable outcomes.

The role requires a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Master Black Belt preferred) and at least eight years in regulated manufacturing, with strong leadership and data-driven approaches to improve performance across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or related discipline; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required, Master Black Belt preferred.
• Minimum eight years in pharma/biopharma/medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing with managerial experience.
• Two years of direct people management at a management level, preferably leading an OpEx, digital, PMO or project management function.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site OpEx team, including work prioritisation, capability building, performance management and stakeholder engagement.
• Coach and develop teams in Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving, and value stream mapping.
• Identify, prioritise, and deliver high-impact improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve reliability.
• Deploy AI-enabled and digital solutions to improve decision-making and productivity.
• Partner with site functions, regulatory bodies, vendors, and suppliers to achieve objectives.
