Job summary

O‘Farrell Recruitment is partnering with an international Tier-1 main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a residential project in Galway, Ireland. The role requires 7–10 years of site management experience on large-scale projects and a third-level qualification or trades background.

You will manage site labour and subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of site management experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience with main contractor projects (commercial/residential/mixed-use).
• Third level qualification or trades background.
• Strong IT skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent delegation and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management, coordination and monitoring of the site labour force and specialist subcontractors.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management, coordination and monitoring of the site labour force and specialist subcontractors
• Assist the Project team to monitor progress to meet agreed programme targets
• Ensure works are delivered to the highest possible quality standards
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies at all times
• Work closely with supply chain and subcontractors to maintain positive relationships and culture on the ground

Specific Requirements:

• 7-10 years’ Site Management experience
• Previous Main Contractor experience ideally large-scale commercial/residential/mixed-use development projects experience beneficial
• Third level qualification or Trades background (Excellent knowledge of Trades)
• IT skills – knowledge of Microsoft software
• Excellent delegation and organisational skills
• Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others
