Job summary

C&D Foods in Edgeworthstown, Ireland, is seeking a General Maintenance Operative to maintain the internal and external areas of the site and support GMP, facilities and housekeeping standards.

In this role you will perform general building maintenance, painting, minor repairs, plumbing, carpentry, pest-proofing and site grounds upkeep, liaising with Engineering, Quality and other departments to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyman role.
• Experience with basic building repairs and maintenance activities.
• Desirable but not essential - experience working in a manufacturing or GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain internal and external areas of the site, including painting and minor repairs.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, including toilet maintenance.
• Perform light carpentry and repair of fixtures and fittings.
• Support pest-proofing activities and facility improvement projects.
• Maintain site grounds, yards, and external areas.
• Support site services and general facility upkeep.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain GMP, housekeeping, and cleanliness standards across the site.
• Liaise With Engineering, Quality, And Other Departments As Required.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements by completing work internally where practical.

At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown we are currently seeking a General Maintenance Operative.

The purpose of the tole is to maintain the internal and external areas of the site to a high standard. The role supports the upkeep of facilities, site services, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and overall site appearance.

Key Responsibilities
