Job summary

Amgen in South Dublin is seeking a Plant Utilities Project Engineer to provide client-side technical ownership and field engineering support for plant utility systems during construction, startup, and commissioning. The role requires hands-on leadership across interfaces, P&IDs, equipment, and controls, ensuring readiness for operation.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in building services within GMP facilities, and can coordinate multidisciplinary teams while managing risks and deliverables

Qualifications

• 8–10 years experience in building services design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience with GMP/regulatory facilities.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and lead design reviews.
• Strong knowledge of IS, EN, CIBSE, ASHRAE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as client-side technical lead for plant utility systems from construction through startup, commissioning, and handover.
• Delivery of system design intent using P&IDs, equipment, piping, and controls.
• Coordinate with designers, construction & site operations to resolve priorities and risks.
• Provide hands-on field engineering support and resolve technical, constructability, quality and operability issues.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, field changes and deviations with designers, vendors and Amgen SMEs.
• Verify installations against design, specifications and applicable standards.
• Support installation, tie-ins, inspections, walkdowns and Mechanical Completion of plant utility systems.
