Job summary

Fortis Recruitment's client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the team in Dublin. You will check drawings, set out reinforced concrete and steel frame buildings, supervise subcontractors, and ensure health and safety on site.

The role requires a third-level engineering qualification and at least five years setting out experience, with proficiency in Robotic Total Stations and levels, strong IT skills, and excellent communication and organisation.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' setting out experience.
• Experience using Robotic Total Stations and Levels.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong Digital Construction and IT skills with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.
• Honest, flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking approach.

Responsibilities

• Checking drawings, specifications and plans.
• Setting out reinforced concrete and steel frame buildings, piling, drainage, groundworks and associated works.
• Supervising subcontractors and monitoring Health & Safety compliance on site.
• Reporting to the Site Manager or Senior Engineer and liaising with subcontractors, engineers and the wider site team.
• Dealing with technical queries as required.
• Carrying out quality checks and quality control inspections.
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
• Performing other duties and project-related tasks as assigned.
