Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Site Engineer Civil Engineering for a major infrastructure project in North Dublin. You will oversee daily site operations, perform setting out with GPS and levelling tools, and produce as-built drawings while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (Level 8) and at least 5 years of site-engineering experience, with strong H&S knowledge and travel flexibility. A driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (minimum Level 8 or equivalent).
• At least 5 years experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site procedures, and health & safety regulations.
• Proven experience with GPS equipment, levelling instruments, AutoCAD, and Procore.
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
• Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily site operations across civil engineering works
• Carry out setting out duties using GPS and levelling equipment
• Verify all site measurements, lines, and levels to ensure accuracy
• Undertake site surveys and produce as-built drawings using AutoCAD
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Monitor progress on site and maintain accurate site diaries and records
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with H&S requirements
• Support resolution of technical and construction-related issues on site
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and quality standards
