Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Cork is seeking a Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 building contractor on large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee quality and safety, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.

You will set out from engineering drawings, read drawings, coordinate with subcontractors and clients, plan works to hit programmes, and maintain site records.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 2–3 years post-qualification experience minimum.
• Strong IT skills and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting-out from engineers drawings and site surveys.
• Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts and materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and general workforce on site.
• Plan works to hit programme targets and manage site safety and quality.
• Liaise with clients representatives and design team as appropriate.
• Maintain site records and manage materials on site.

Job Description

Site Engineers required to join a leading Tier 1 Building Contractor in Cork for new large-scale residential and commercial and industrial projects. You will be overseeing and ensuring high level quality work and ensuring it complies with the regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project. You will also be working closely with the site personnel to deliver the project to the highest possible standard.

Role

• Setting-out from engineers drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure, etc.
• Working with subcontractors/general workforce on site
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaising with clients representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards
• Ordering and control of materials on site
• Maintaining the site records as required

Requirements

• Completed a third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience minimum
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Strong IT Skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license

Salary

Salary circa €65k - €75k DOE
