Job summary

Shay Murtagh Precast Ltd. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to coordinate and manage site activities across Ireland, reporting to the Construction Project Manager. The role is primarily site-based, with occasional attendance at the Raharney head office as required.

Responsibilities include setting out, reading construction drawings, liaising with clients, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, QC and safety compliance, and documentation. Travel across Ireland will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3+ years experience in a similar site role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and IT packages; knowledge of Eurocodes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities with Project Manager and Site Foreman.
• Set out and provide datum level information to site teams.
• Read and interpret construction drawings on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers for site projects.
• Prepare Method Statements and Crane Lift Plans for approval.
• Maintain inspection records and BCAR/ITP documentation.
• Attend site meetings and communicate outcomes to the team.
• Support scheduling of labour, plant and materials for project delivery.
• Travel across Ireland to project sites as required.
