Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd in Ireland is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to coordinate and manage construction and installation activities for precast infrastructure projects across Ireland.

The role is primarily site-based in Nenagh, Tipperary, with occasional head office visits for team activities, reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in site coordination/management of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities with Project Manager and Site Foreman.
• Set out and provide datum level information for installation teams.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers on site.
• Prepare Method Statements and Crane Lift Plans for approval.
• Quality checking and reporting (BCAR/ITP).
• Attend site meetings and communicate outcomes to PM and site team.
• Monitor site H&S with Project and Safety Manager.
• Assist in scheduling labour, plant, and materials to deliver projects.
• Support project programming and progress control.

Site Civil Engineer

Tipperary, Nenagh

€60-65k + Transport

Required for leading designer, manufacture, and installer of precast Infrastructure products.

The Role will primarily involve the site coordination and management of our construction and installation activities across Ireland.

The role while primarily be site based, although, you will have to attend at head office to complete a number of team activities and coordination works and reporting activities with the project manager on an ad hoc basis

Work Activities, Role Scope & Responsibilities

• Coordination of site activities in conjunction with Project Manager and Site Foreman and also monitoring for compliance with design and dimensional accuracy of the installation of precast elements and construction works.
• Setting out and providing datum level information to our construction /installation teams
• Liaise with Production Manager at factory in relation to production programming of precast elements for site-based projects that are to be installed by Shay Murtagh Ltd.
• Coordination and management of subcontractors and suppliers for site projects along with PM.
• Preparing Method Statements & Crane Lift Plans for approval.
• Quality checking and compiling of Inspection reports such as BCAR as part of the ITP.
• Attending of site meetings and maintaining and communication of meeting outcomes to Project Manager and Site Team
• Coordination, Communication and monitoring of site H&S Requirements in conjunction with Project and Health & Safety Manager.
• Assist the Project Manager with the scheduling of all labour, plant and equipment and materials resources required to complete the successful delivery of projects.
• Assist the Project Manager with project programming and control works progress against agreed programmes

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering Degree (or equivalent)Over 3 years experience in a similar role ideally
• Ability to work under pressure, balance priorities, and meet strict deadlines is essential and being highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges.
• Proficient in Auto cad or similar programmes used within the current construction climate.
• Full clean valid driving licence is required.
• Safe-pass or any other related construction tickets advantageous.
• Hold a current Appointed Persons (Lifting Operations) qualification
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites across Ireland
