Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Civil Site Engineer for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on the groundworks package of a Datacentre in Wicklow.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering Degree and 4+ years’ experience, with a strong civils background in groundworks, utilities and concrete. Responsibilities include setting-out, subcontractor management, planning to meet targets and ensuring HSE compliance and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required.
• 4+ years’ experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated to deliver safety, quality, and programme.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting-out on site.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and materials.

Civil Site Engineer with 3+ years’ experience required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on the groundworks package of a Datacentre in Wicklow. Our client is ideally looking for an Engineer with a strong civils background with experience in groundworks, utilities, and concrete.

Responsibilities

• Setting-out
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Management of subcontractors/groundworkers
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaise with client’s representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree
• 4+ years’ experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license
