Job summary

SSE plc is seeking an Electrical Construction Package Project Manager to lead the Electrical Balance of Plant for major onshore wind, solar and BESS projects in Ireland. The role is site based with a base location at Donegal or Mayo and requires travel across Ireland to deliver HV/LV infrastructure safely and on schedule.

You will own the electrical package through construction, testing, commissioning and handover, manage NEC/FIDIC contracts, drive safety and quality, control cost and programme,

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field with HV/LV experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex construction packages from planning through handover.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements in construction.
• Experience with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the Electrical Package Delivery: lead planning, coordination and delivery of eBoP work packages.
• Ensure safety and quality across installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Monitor progress against milestones and manage reporting on risk, budget and performance.
• Administer NEC and/or FIDIC contracts and manage contractor performance.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, landowners and regulators to achieve outcomes.
