Job summary

EZ Living Furniture is seeking a reliable Shunter Driver (Category C or C+E) based in Dublin, Damastown. You will move trucks and demountable boxes between the Dublin distribution centre and sites across Ireland, ensuring safe, efficient positioning for our nationwide logistics network.

Full training provided; you should hold a current Category C/C+E licence with CPC and a Driver Qualification Card, and have good knowledge of Irish road networks and health and safety practices.

Qualifications

Full, clean Category C/C+E licence with up-to-date CPC and DQC.
Experience with artic/rigid trucks or shunting vehicles preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

Shunt trucks and demountable boxes between Dublin and Ireland locations.
Ensure safe and timely movement of vehicles and equipment.
Carry out daily vehicle inspections before departure.
Maintain communications with the Transport Manager.
Follow Health & Safety procedures and road transport regulations.
Keep vehicles clean and report defects promptly.
Complete required transport documentation accurately.

EZ Living Furniture was founded in Galway in 1998. We are a family run Irish retailer operating nationwide, as well as a full online shopping experience offering delivery throughout Ireland. We are the largest independent Furniture Retailer in Ireland employing over 360 people.

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shunter Driver (Category C or C+E Licence) to join our team based in Dublin, Damastown.

The successful candidate will be responsible for moving (shunting) trucks and demountable boxes between our Dublin distribution centre and various locations across Ireland ensuring vehicles and equipment are positioned safely and efficiently to support our nationwide logistics operation.

Previous experience operating demountable trucks is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

You are a dependable and safety-conscious driver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high standards in everything you do. You take pride in maintaining vehicles, following procedures, and working closely with the transport team to ensure operations run smoothly.
