Job summary

M&P O’Sullivan Ltd in Cork is seeking an experienced Shop Assistant for one of our retail stores in Leemount Cross. This customer-facing role requires a friendly, proactive person with a hands-on approach.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in retail, be available for an immediate start, and work a 37.5–40 hour week on a 5/7 roster with weekly pay. Parking is available on-site with progression opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environments is essential.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and promptly.
• Familiarity with stock replenishment and shelf maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to help customers.

M&P O’Sullivan has played an integral role in the Irish Food industry for over 100 years. Over the last 10 years, turnover and headcount have doubled, with significant further growth envisaged over the coming few years, which makes this a fantastic time to join the team. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Shop Assistant in one of our Retail shops in Leemount Cross. This role is customer facing so therefore requires an individual with a friendly and happy disposition always willing to help.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Customer facing first and foremost. Therefore, the willingness to assist is paramount.
• Following up on general customer inquiries.
• Cash handling accuracy.
• Stocking and replenishing supplies.
• Daily liaison with customers and colleagues.
• Housekeeping will be an important part of the role.
• Adhere to H&S regulations as set out in the store by the Store Manager.
• Adhere to policies and procedures within the Store.
