Job summary

ARYZTA is seeking a Shift Maintenance Technician at our Grange Castle bakery in Dublin to maintain and repair bakery equipment on shift, using Electrical and Mechanical skills in an automated environment.

The role requires SAP record-keeping, supporting continuous improvement, and serving as a hands-on frontline leader during breakdowns, with a continental shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with strong Mechanical skills.
• Experience in Automated Factory environment is preferred.
• Willing to work on a continental shift pattern.
• Good team player and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bakery equipment on shift and ensure repairs meet high standards.
• Record all work in SAP and on Shift Report.
• Lead maintenance activities on shift and act as frontline leader during breakdowns.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Provide daily feedback to management on maintenance activities.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Technician based at our state-of-the-art Bakery facility in Grange Castle, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Ideally, you will have strong Electrical Engineering skills with supporting Mechanical skills. You will have previous experience of working within an Automated Factory environment.

This is a dynamic role, and you must be willing to work on a continental shift pattern.

Responsibilities will include:

Following is a list of the basic responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Bakery Maintenance Engineering function on shift.
• To ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest possible standards.
• To record all work carried out in SAP and on Shift Report.
• Implement permanent fixes for all issues raised on the SAP shift report.
• To be responsible for the Maintenance H&S function on shift.
• To provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all Maintenance activities.
• To be a hands on / front line leader of the team in breakdown situations.
• To assist management in all technical activities (projects, equipment install, reporting and continuous improvements etc.)
• To work alongside the Maintenance Team to build a continuous improvement environment within the facility.
• To be a good communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
• To attend all required shift meetings.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks including condition based monitoring.
• To carry out a shift hand over meeting at the start and end of each shift.
• Responsible for identifying equipment spares and informing Manager / Planner of spares used during your shift.
• Provide Maintenance assistance to our cold stores refrigeration plant when need arises.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with strong Mechanical skills.
• Must be able to un use multimeter, understand Electrical schematics and have ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and sensor faults.
• Food / Refrigeration and other Utility experiences an advantage
• Good team player and self-motivated.
• Available for call-out duties and / or overtime when required.
