Job summary

C&D Foods Edgeworthstown is seeking a Shift Electrical Technician to maintain and repair production machinery and plant services on a 12-hour continental shift pattern. Job description

At C&D Foods Edgeworthstown we have a requirement for a Shift Electrical Technician working on shift (12Hhr Continental Shift Pattern) within our Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting and repair of all Production Machinery and Plant Services i.e. PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley), Electrical Cabinets, Electrical Containment, Sensors.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, De-bugging and systems development, Programming, Steam, Air, Water etc.

Shift Pattern

The shifts are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. The shift cycle would be as follows:

• Week 1 - In Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday, and Thursday and In Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Week 2- Off Monday and Tuesday, In Wednesday and Thursday and Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Please Note - The initial training and onboarding for this role will take place on the day shift, Monday to Friday (Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm, Fri 8am-3pm). After successful completion of the training period (approx. 3-6 months), the successful candidate will transition to working on the 12hour continental shift pattern as outlined.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Senior Trades Qualification or a comparable NFQ qualification, and/or NCEA Certificate or Diploma in an Electrical discipline. A FETAC Level 6 accreditation, or an equivalent qualification, such as a Solas apprenticeship, City & Guilds apprenticeship or higher is acceptable.
