Job summary

Midland Steel seeks an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead health, safety, environment and quality management across manufacturing sites and projects in Ireland and the UK. You will oversee safe systems of work, drive continuous improvement, and lead internal and external audits to ensure statutory compliance and client expectations.

The role requires collaboration with production teams, risk management, and strong stakeholder engagement to maintain the highest standards across all sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Health & Safety or Equivalent qualification.
• Chartered membership of a relevant industry body or working towards.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing and construction industry is preferable, including a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Able to manage SHEQ function throughout our manufacturing sites and customer sites within the scope of the management systems employed.
• Strong relationship builder and ability to foster key relationships with stakeholders internally and external to the Company.
• Ability to manage risk and implement control measures.
• Able to lead and deliver SHEQ meetings; presentations and external audits including statutory inspections by statutory bodies; certification body audits; customer audits.

We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to join our team.

The SHEQ Manager leads the Company’s culture of living and demonstrating the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment and quality management practices across all of its professional services and manufacturing practices. Collaborating with the Production teams, the manager supervises the implementation and execution of safe systems or work in line with our Quality standards and statutory requirements. The manager ensures the safety of all staff and stakeholders, across all sites, by overseeing the ongoing roll out and participation in awareness and programmes.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
