Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Setting Out Engineer for a major road infrastructure project in Cherrywood, South Dublin. You will perform setting out using GPS and Total Station, interpret drawings, and ensure works meet required quality and standards.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree and minimum 2 years' site experience in Ireland/UK, plus a full driving licence. Company vehicle provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' setting out / site engineering experience in Ireland or the UK.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station.
• Set out roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks and associated civil works.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records.
• Ensure works are delivered to the required quality and engineering standards.
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Assist with QA/QC documentation and resolve technical issues on site.

Setting Out Engineer – South Dublin

A well-established Tier 2 civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major road infrastructure project in Cherrywood, South Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale civil engineering project with long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station
• Set out roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks and associated civil works
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans
• Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records
• Ensure works are delivered to the required quality and engineering standards
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and engineering teams
• Assist with QA/QC documentation and resolve technical issues on site

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' setting out / site engineering experience in Ireland or the UK
• Strong setting out skills essential
• Proficient in GPS and Total Station
• Previous experience on civil engineering, roadworks, drainage or infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full driving licence
