Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is recruiting a Setting Out Engineer for a major road infrastructure project in Cherrywood, South Dublin. The role focuses on precise setting out using GPS and Total Station on a large-scale civil site.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree and at least two years’ setting out experience in Ireland or the UK, with strong capability reading drawings and coordinating with site teams. A company vehicle is provided and long-term opportunity awaits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ setting out / site engineering experience in Ireland or the UK.
• Strong setting out skills essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station.
• Set out roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks and associated civil works.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records.
• Ensure works are delivered to the required quality and engineering standards.
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Assist with QA/QC documentation and resolve technical issues on site.
