Job summary

Ayesa Engineering - UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Water to lead wastewater and water treatment design across diverse sectors in Ireland. You will oversee technical delivery, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with European codes and local standards.

The role requires Chartered or working toward ICE/IStructE with at least 5 years of experience in water distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or Masters in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered (or working toward) with ICE/IStructE, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and contract administration of water distribution systems, including water treatment, in the UK/Ireland.
• Experience in wastewater collector systems, pumped systems and wastewater treatment.
• Knowledge of Public Works Contracts, FIDIC, local legislation; telemetry/SCADA knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and team-leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead water and wastewater design and technical delivery across project stages.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and project requirements.
• Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposals, bids and business development.
• Uphold quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
