Job summary

Nicholas O’Dwyer Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Water to lead the delivery of water infrastructure projects across the UK, Ireland, and internationally. You will manage design, procurement, and construction workstreams, ensuring quality, schedule compliance, and strong client relationships.

The role requires 7+ years in water engineering, mentoring junior engineers, and the ability to travel to project sites. A civil/environmental engineering degree and driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in water infrastructure projects, including feasibility, detailed design, procurement, and construction contract administration.
• Strong communication skills for client-facing environments and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead project delivery across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and progress multiple water infrastructure projects from brief to completion, ensuring on-schedule delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Prepare feasibility studies, route/site selections, and concept/ detailed designs with technical reports and drawings.
• Lead tender evaluations, procurement processes, and contract administration during construction.
• Coordinate project resources, budgets, schedules, and client relationships; monitor progress and report risks to directors.
