Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead drinking water, wastewater and bioresources process engineering across Ireland, delivering feasibility through to construction support. The role combines deep technical leadership with multidisciplinary team management and strong QA in a consulting environment.

You will mentor engineers, shape scopes, support bids, and ensure safe design while pursuing sustainable outcomes for major clients including Irish Water and others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineering design of water, wastewater and bioresources projects, ensuring outputs meet standards and client requirements.
• Direct and review delivery across feasibility, optioneering, concept, detailed design, contract documents, and construction/commissioning support.
• Provide technical leadership in water, wastewater and bioresources/sludge treatment (digesters, dewatering, sludge handling, etc.).
• Promote process safety and risk techniques, including HAZOP-style reviews where required.
• Define briefs, scopes of work, deliverables, programmes and budgets; manage delivery against milestones.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure contractual compliance and robust delivery governance.
