Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading Irish logistics and food services provider to recruit an experienced Transport Planning Manager. You will lead a high-volume operation, optimise delivery operations, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will develop the transport planning team, manage KPIs and collaborate across departments to meet customer expectations across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in transport or logistics management.
• Experience leading a transport or logistics team.
• Knowledge of road transport legislation, HACCP, and health & safety.
• Strong data interpretation and performance analysis.
• Proven leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
• Organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the transport planning team.
• Oversee daily and weekly delivery planning for routes and fleet.
• Drive continuous improvements in planning processes and cost efficiency.
• Own transport planning KPIs and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet deadlines.
• Monitor transport expenditure and fuel usage.
• Utilise data reporting to inform decisions and forecasting.
