Job summary

ICON plc is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner for AI Products to define strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-powered solutions built on our multi-agent framework and central AI platform.

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle, translating complex requirements into scalable AI products, prioritising backlogs, and partnering with AI and software teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Senior Technical Product Owner - AI Products

As a Senior Technical Product Owner at ICON, you will be responsible for defining and driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-powered products built on the organisation's multi-agent framework and central AI platform. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong product management discipline to ensure solutions deliver measurable value, scalability, and high-quality user outcomes.

What You Will Do:

In this role you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, working closely with engineering and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into impactful, scalable AI products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to enterprise AI objectives
• Translate business needs into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
• Prioritise and manage product backlogs, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and strategic value
• Partner with AI, software, and UI engineering teams to drive delivery, ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance
• Define product success metrics and use data insights to guide product decisions and continuous improvement
• Lead product launches, including readiness planning, stakeholder communication, and adoption strategies
• Champion user-centred design, ensuring intuitive and effective AI-driven user experiences
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, communicating product priorities, roadmaps, and progress

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in product management, including ownership of complex technical or platform-based products
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile delivery environments
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI-powered or data-driven products, with an understanding of AI system considerations
• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, from discovery through to launch and continuous improvement
• Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders within fast-paced, multi-team environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
• Data-driven mindset, using metrics and insights to inform prioritisation and decision-making
