Job description

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. Company: Marsh Corporate Description: Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) is a leading global consultancy specialising in employee benefits, workplace wellness, and health insurance. MMB is seeking a Senior Tech Business Analyst to join a high-performing, agile product team to deliver a strategically key AI-first SaaS product. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of business analysis and modern technology delivery.

You will translate business vision, client needs, and product strategy into clear, structured, and testable requirements that drive high-quality software delivery — working within a global team supporting MMB's global operations and clients.

You bring strong analytical capability, a sharp focus on requirement quality, and the communication skills to align product, engineering, and architecture teams.

We will count on you to:
  • Break down product vision and client needs into clear epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria — unambiguous and ready for both delivery teams and AI-enabled tooling.
  • Produce structured requirement outputs that support test generation, automation, and configuration validation.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Delivery teams to facilitate discovery workshops, refinement sessions, and ensure alignment between business intent and technical delivery.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog; coordinate and support business acceptance testing.
  • Apply structured thinking to shape ambiguous ideas into well-defined requirements, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Champion requirement quality and contribute to continuous improvement in practices, templates, and AI-assisted ways of working.
What you need to have:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technology or software product environment.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience — writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and participating in sprints and ceremonies.
  • Ability to break down complex business problems into clear, structured, testable requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC, backlog management, and how business analysis fits within delivery.
  • Comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation.
What makes you stand out:
  • Your problem solving and critical thinking skills: you can simplify complexity and bring structured clarity to ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • You can 'talk business'.
  • You don't need to be an insurance expert, but you can engage credibly with non-technical colleagues and quickly translate business opportunities into clear technology requirements.
  • Your experience on large-scale, complex, globally deployed software products, and awareness of AI-assisted development workflows or structured requirement formats.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in a distributed environment, building strong relationships across teams, locations, and time zones.

We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders. We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can collaborate with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities. Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities.

Note: This role is based at the Marsh Innovation Centre in Dublin, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in the office three days per week.

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other less represented groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So, if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on what is needed, please still get in touch.
