Job summary

Punch Consulting Engineers, a COWI company, is seeking a Senior Structural Precast Engineer to lead precast design for major building projects in Ireland. You’ll drive technical, managerial and commercial success, from concept through detailed design and construction, coordinating engineering teams and ensuring quality.

We value Chartered Engineer status, strong leadership and experience with Tekla Structures and other design tools.

Qualifications

Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status with the ICE.
Experience in design of precast concrete elements, ideally with a precast concrete manufacturer.
Experience using Tekla Structures and other design software (REVIT, AutoCAD, ROBOT, ETABS, SCIA...).
Strong leadership and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and engineering of precast concrete elements for building projects.
Take technical responsibility from concept design through detailed design and construction.
Coordinate engineers, technicians, and project team members.
Work with architects, contractors, clients and other disciplines at design meetings.
Provide technical leadership and mentor graduate and junior engineers.
Act as senior technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
Attend design meetings and provide precast engineering advice.
Ensure compliance with quality and health & safety procedures.
