Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Cork is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will lead structural design on building projects across Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Leisure, Industrial, Housing and Education sectors, guiding junior staff and coordinating with other design disciplines.

The ideal candidate is Chartered, possesses strong communication skills, and has hands-on experience delivering structural design using software such as Robot and Tekla Structural

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or Institution of Structural Engineers.
• Strong communication and ability to prioritise and manage workload.
• Experience delivering structural engineering design.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering as part of multidisciplinary design teams.
• Design input and oversee delivery of all structural aspects of projects.
• Prepare project reports (planning, tender, construction) with clear communication.
• Present design intent via PowerPoint presentations.
• Prepare fee proposals and design submissions for design contracts.
• Communicate with internal and external parties via email.
• Oversee preparation of design drawings and calculations.
• Act as Ancillary Certifier for C&S discipline.
• Manage design budgets and financials.
