Job summary

Qualcomm Cork location seeks a Senior Staff Engineer in Microcontroller Sub-System Verification to lead complex verification programs across IP and subsystem scopes. You will shape methodology, build reusable environments, and drive signoff readiness with a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in ASIC verification, deep ARM/RISC‑V knowledge, and strong UVM/systemverilog, with experience in power extraction and AMBA protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification strategy for microcontroller sub-systems to enable high-quality silicon delivery.
• Define and evolve scalable verification methodologies using UVM, formal, assertions, and coverage-driven techniques.
• Architect robust testbenches, UVCs, and reusable verification components across block and subsystem levels.
• Own coverage strategy and closure, drive root-cause analysis of gaps, and ensure signoff readiness.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, SoC, software, validation, and program teams on issues and milestones.
• Mentor engineers and raise team technical capability and execution.
