Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager in Carrier Management to lead commercial sourcing and negotiations for third-party network access services supporting Verizon’s operations. As a Senior Sourcing Manager in Carrier Management, you will lead commercial sourcing and negotiations for third-party network access services supporting Verizon’s U.S. operations. You will work with network operators and Verizon stakeholders to reduce access costs, improve contract terms and deliver reliable service for our customers.

You will lead sourcing activity from opportunity assessment and market engagement through negotiation and recommendation. The role needs sound commercial judgement, strong analysis and the ability to bring technical, finance, legal and business teams to a clear decision.

What you’ll be doing…

• Leading negotiations with network operators on pricing, contract terms, renewals, and amendments.
• Identifying and delivering savings opportunities across third-party network access spend.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in commercial sourcing, strategic procurement, carrier management or a related commercial role.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to assess pricing, compare options and explain commercial trade-offs.
• Experience leading competitive bids, renewals or contract negotiations from planning through to recommendation.
• Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders and turning business requirements into a clear commercial approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present concise recommendations to senior leaders.
• Good organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage several priorities and keep work moving.
• Sound judgement, attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving problems.
• Experience in telecommunications or network services would be an advantage.

You’ll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience in sourcing methods and best practices.

• Master’s degree in a related area.
• Experience in Telecommunications. Broad-based knowledge of the industry.
• Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
