Job summary

Zinkworks in Ireland is seeking a Technical Lead / Architect to define and drive AI-enabled solutions for Fixed Network platforms. You will guide architecture, design and delivery, leading adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Digital Twin and data-driven decision intelligence to modernize OSS and boost operational efficiency.

Lead multi-vendor teams, establish reference architectures, and enable scalable AI capabilities across inventory, topology, performance and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Technical Lead or Architect in a large-scale Telecoms enterprise.
• Experience delivering Generative AI, LLM, Agentic AI, or AI orchestration solutions.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Python, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and platform engineering.
• Proven experience leading multi-vendor technical delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and execute the AI technology roadmap for Fixed Network platforms.
• Lead the technical delivery of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Digital Twin and data intelligence initiatives.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate network planning, design, build, provisioning, assurance and operations.
• Define AI reference architectures, design patterns, reusable components and engineering standards.
• Establish scalable capabilities for retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, LLM integration, agent orchestration, knowledge graphs and model lifecycle management.
• Guide the evolution of Fixed Network Digital Twin capabilities, including topology, federated inventory, simulation and closed-loop automation.
• Provide technical leadership to internal engineering teams, delivery partners and suppliers.
• Resolve complex technical challenges, manage dependencies and remove delivery blockers.
• Enable the use of network inventory, topology, performance, fault, assurance and operational datasets in AI solutions.

Overview

In this role you will define and drive the technical strategy, architecture, design and delivery of AI-enabled solutions across the Fixed Network domain. The role will lead the adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Network Digital Twin, automation and data-driven decision intelligence to modernize OSS platforms, improve operational efficiency and support increasingly autonomous network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, own and execute the AI technology roadmap for Fixed Network platforms.
• Lead the technical delivery of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Digital Twin and data intelligence initiatives.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate network planning, design, build, provisioning, assurance and operations.
• Define AI reference architectures, design patterns, reusable components and engineering standards.
• Establish scalable capabilities for retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, large language model integration, agent orchestration, knowledge graphs and model lifecycle management.
• Guide the evolution of Fixed Network Digital Twin capabilities, including physical and logical topology, federated inventory, simulation and closed-loop automation.
• Provide technical leadership to internal engineering teams, delivery partners and suppliers.
• Resolve complex technical challenges, manage dependencies and remove delivery blockers.
• Enable the use of network inventory, topology, performance, fault, assurance and operational datasets in AI solutions.

Must Haves

• Significant experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer or equivalent in a large-scale Telecoms enterprise environment.
• Strong experience delivering Generative AI, large language model, Agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation or AI orchestration solutions.
• Extensive working experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Python, APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes and platform engineering.
• Proven experience leading multi-vendor technical delivery teams and governing complex programmes.

Nice to have

• Fixed Domain Network experience
• Experience with Network Digital Twins, graph technologies, knowledge graphs and vector databases.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Open AI, Anthropic Claude or comparable AI platforms.
• Knowledge of MLOps, model governance, evaluation and production monitoring.
