Job summary

Cork Solar & Electrical (CSAE) seeks a Senior Solar PV Installer to lead our expanding solar division in Cork. The role covers independent end-to-end project delivery, including material ordering, installation, testing, commissioning and certification to Safe Electric/SEAI standards.

Ideal candidate has 5–10 years PV experience, strong inverter/battery storage knowledge, and proven supervision of a small team. A full driving licence and references are mandatory.

SENIOR SOLAR PV INSTALLER / TEAM LEADER

Cork Solar & Electrical (CSAE) is seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV Installer to join and lead our rapidly expanding solar division.

The successful candidate must be capable of working completely independently, managing solar installations from start to finish, including material ordering, installation, testing, commissioning and certification in accordance with Safe Electric and SEAI requirements.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5–10 years' experience in solar PV installations.

Must be fully capable of completing and commissioning solar systems independently.

Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage and system upgrades.

Ability to manage multiple installations weekly, ensuring deadlines and completion targets are met.

Experience supervising junior installers, carrying out quality assurance checks and verifying completed work.

Ability to manage materials, organise projects and maintain installation standards.

Confident dealing with customers, answering technical questions and advising on system modifications.

Competent using online job management platforms, with daily photographic records and progress reports required.

No roofing work required. Occasional scaffold access may be necessary for inspections or fault-finding, with appropriate safety measures and training provided.

A Safe Electric QC number is desirable but not essential.

Full driving licence required. Applicants must be over 25 to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.

References are mandatory, clearly confirming previous roles, responsibilities and relevant experience.
