Job summary

You will join a Dublin-based software start-up that is growing its engineering team. The role is a Senior Software Engineer with a hands-on focus on building software, improving existing systems, and delivering new product features.

The role involves working across a modern .NET and Angular environment within a microservices architecture, with hybrid work: 3 days on-site in Dublin City Centre.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with C#/ .NET in web apps.
• Strong background in modern web frontends (Angular).
• Experience delivering with microservices architecture and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain software across backend and frontend applications.
• Develop new features from design through to production.
• Work hands-on with C#/.NET and Angular.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Improve code quality, testing and release readiness.
• Use TDD and strong automated testing practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to long-term fixes.
• Work closely with Product, QA and DevOps.
• Help improve performance, scalability and reliability.

I'm working with an exciting software start-up in Dublin that is continuing to grow its engineering team and is looking to appoint a Senior Software Engineer.

This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys building software, improving existing systems and working closely with other engineers to deliver new product features.

The company is still at a stage where strong engineers can have a real impact, so they are looking for someone experienced who can come in, contribute quickly and help raise the technical standard of the product as it grows.

(Hybrid - Dublin City Centre - 3 days per week on-site)

The role...

You’ll likely be an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in .NET development and modern web applications.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

• Cloud environments
• CI/CD
• Production troubleshooting
• Building and shipping software products

Experience modernising legacy applications or moving monolithic systems towards more modern architectures would be particularly useful.
